Shipping Policy

Carriers

All feed orders are shipped via Australia Post if outside our local delivery area.

Order Processing Times

  • Orders placed by 12:00 pm AEST on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays) are dispatched the same day whenever stock is available.

  • Orders placed after 12:00 pm AEST or on weekends/public holidays are dispatched the next business day.

  • During peak periods, dispatch may take 1–2 additional business days.

  • Delivery Timeframes (after dispatch)

    • Standard Parcel Post: 2–8 business days, depending on destination.

    • Parcel Post to rural/remote areas: 5–12 business days.

    • Australia Post may experience delays outside our control (weather, peak season, network disruptions).

Shipping Costs

  • Local pickup (by arrangement): Free.

  • Local delivery (Lithgow, Upper Blue Mountains) $25 delivery fee.

  • Standard shipping (metro/major regional): $14.95 flat rate up to 20 kg cubic weight

  • Heavy/bulky feed (over 20 kg cubic weight or multi-bag orders) From $24.95; calculated at checkout by weight/volume and destination.

  • Remote area surcharge: An additional fee may apply for certain postcodes; shown at checkout before payment.

  • Multiple items may be shipped in separate parcels at no extra cost beyond the calculated rate shown at checkout.

Order Limits and Splits

  • To comply with Australia Post's weight and handling limits, large or heavy orders may be split across multiple parcels. Tracking will be provided for each parcel.

Stock Availability and Backorders

  • If an item is out of stock, we will contact you within 1 business day with options: hold and ship when all items are available, partial shipment, substitution (where appropriate), or a refund for the unavailable item.

Tracking and Notifications

You will receive an order confirmation email and a shipping confirmation with Australia Post tracking once your parcel leaves our warehouse. • Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours to appear after dispatch.

Delivery Instructions and Authority to Leave (ATL)

  • You may add delivery instructions at checkout. Australia Post will follow them where possible.

  • If you select Authority to Leave, parcels may be left in a safe place at your address. Amaroo Equine is not liable for loss or damage after delivery is confirmed by Australia Post.

Address Accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is correct. Orders returned due to incorrect/insufficient address may incur a re-shipping fee.

Damaged or Missing Parcels

  • If your order arrives damaged or is missing items, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos (if damaged). We will liaise with Australia Post and provide a replacement or refund as appropriate.

  • Parcels marked as delivered by Australia Post but not received should be reported within 3 business days so we can initiate an investigation.

Shipping Restrictions

  • We currently ship feed within Australia only.

  • Some products may be unavailable for delivery to certain remote locations due to carrier restrictions.

Click & Collect

  • Available from Amaroo Equine by prior arrangement.

  • We’ll notify you when your order is ready to collect and provide pickup times and location details.

Changes and Cancellations

  • We can amend or cancel orders prior to dispatch. Once dispatched, changes are not possible. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number.
